Two Days Until Launch of 10 Common Photography Mistakes!
At around 7am central time on Wednesday morning, I’ll release the new page for my brand new project 10 Common Photography Mistakes (and how to fix them). I’ll add a link over in the sidebar and will also do a post to announce it! Keep an eye out and tell your friends!
The Milky Way Over Saint Johns
My buddyand I pulled an all-nighter recently, driving about 4 hours to a town in west Texas called Bomarton where this old, abandoned catholic church sits. Hats off to Mike for spotting this church and calling me up to go shoot it when the skies finally cleared out and provided a view of the Milky Way.We shot until around 3 or 4 in the morning, then headed back and I made it to bed right as the sun started putting some color on the horizon. What a night!
This shot is a 30 second exposure at ISO 3200 and f/4. I was a tad bit disappointed in the image quality of my 1DsMIII. I keep forgetting that it was released as Canon’s flagship camera several months before the 5DMII was released. With the big trip to Death Valley and Mammoth Lakes coming up in September, I think it might be time to trade it in for a newer model.
